Recap so far 2014
Finally back sailing on home waters!
After a hectic winter, with January spent in Miami followed by 6 weeks in Palma, Norway got just warm enough to start sailing in mid April. Wedecided to stay home and practice instead of doing Hyeres. A tough decision, as we knew the fleet would be top notch. It was necessary for us to get lots of hours in and at the same time peace and quite to practice things on our own. When we finally left for Garda in May, we were eager to race again. It’s always fun to catch up with the fleet after a break, to see if training will pay off. For us it definitely did! Garda was a great event. With lots of heavy wind training and improvements ever day, we finished 10th.
We’ve been back in Norway a couple of weeks now. Getting into daily routines with sailing, gym and sponsor work is always nice. So is spending timewith friendsand family again. Norway has beenbeyond amazing the last weeks. There is no better place to be when the sun is shining! A week more of training on home waters before we head to Germany for Kiel Week. Crossing fingers we’ll bring the nice weather with us!
